Celebrating the Success of the Growth Accelerator Programme
A celebratory event recently marked the successful conclusion of the Growth Accelerator for Social Entrepreneurs programme. This fully funded initiative—delivered by the University of Leicester in partnership with CASE and the Community Enterprise Engine—provided tailored support to 112 leaders of local social enterprises, charities, and community interest companies.
Key Outcomes and Impact
The programme delivered significant measurable success across the region, helping more than 100 social entrepreneurs thrive:
- Employment Boost: Created at least 19 new jobs and protected over 200 existing roles.
- Funding & New Ventures: Awarded growth grants to 21 enterprises and stimulated the launch of 9 entirely new businesses.
- Innovation & Product Development: Enabled 23 organizations to roll out new or improved products and services.
- Market Expansion & Productivity: Helped 40 enterprises break into new markets and boosted productivity for 14 others.
- Digital Transformation: Empowered all 112 participating organizations to adopt new technologies or operational processes.
