From Personal Challenge
to Community Support
My Story
New Parks Community Mission began with one simple belief: no one should go hungry in an emergency.
What started as a small Facebook group has grown into a community of over 10,000 members, built on kindness, trust, and people helping people. I created the group while pregnant and facing my own challenges, simply trying to connect people who had more with those who needed help. I never imagined it would become a lifeline for so many.
Don't Be A Punk Recycle Your Junk is a sustainable community group working to net zero and using our carbon Literacy knowledge to share with over 10 thousand members. we evolved the foodbank and charity from this purpose. which now in turn we are fully educated and reasonable to run a charity at uk charity commission

We do not work on postcodes, or boundaries as we believe in fair inclusive delivery which meets equality and diversity to all in need of our services we give for free.
How It Started
Our work began with a simple idea: communities are strongest when people look after one another. What started as a local Facebook group grew into a trusted emergency support network, built by people who recognised that hunger does not stop at postcodes, boundaries or wards.
Today, we support hundreds of people every week, powered by volunteers, donors, and professional partners who believe emergency food should be nourishing, respectful, and fast.
